My entire family must have weirdly erect toenails that have Swiss Army-esque powers. You know that sneaker-mesh material so many shoes are made of? Well, our toes eventually slice right through it. It can be a perfectly good shoe and our toes are hanging out. Then it's like a loose tooth...your toe just finds the tiny hole and next thing you know, it's not so tiny. Once the toehole appears, no matter what shape the shoe is in, it's the beginning of the end.
Why don't sneakers have replacement parts that extend the life of the shoe?
